Kerry Katona inspired Celebs Go Dating fans as she admitted she’d learned she didn’t need a man to make her happy.
Kerry Katona may have attended the Celebs Go Dating finale in Tenerife alone, but she wasn’t at all sad about it after making a huge discovery of self worth.
The Atomic Kitten star confessed she realised she didn’t need a man to be happy, and was fine on her own.
She credited dating agents Paul Carrick Brunson and Anna Williamson on teaching her so much about herself.
Unfortunately she didn’t find love, and didn’t initially head abroad with her co-stars.
But they were thrilled when she decided to make the trip alone, partying with her new pals.
Speaking about what she’s learnt on the series, Kerry felt “liberated” as she realised she wasn’t ready yet for another relationship.
Kerry said: “It’s massively liberating not to be thinking about men. Everyone expects Kerry Katona to be in a relationship but I think they’re going to be really shocked.
“You saw a different side of me at the mixer. It was like, ‘I can’t do it.’ I just didn’t think I was ready, but having Paul and Anna there to help me just a little bit, it was liberating.”
Kerry admitted she wanted to do things differently in the future, having got married three times.
She explained: “You keep doing what you’re doing, you’re going to keep getting the same results. No more OK magazines wedding shoots for me! I want it to be about me and my career.
“I want to be known for the good that I’m doing now, not about my relationship or who I’m shagging.”
On working on a relationship with herself before a relationship with a man, she went on: “Oh 100% and that’s not cheesy. Before my ex, I was on my own for a year.
“I really needed that. Again, doing this show, it’s really made me think, ‘I’m just not ready’. Doing this show has massively helped me realise that I’m perfectly fine on my own.”
